We survived Flo!
A rather damp day on the venue today – not really very heavy rain but very persistent – ie all day! The positive thing is that there was no wind!
The horses are very appreciative of the FALPRO England waterproof rugs they’ve received, as is everyone of their waterproof (very) Musto jackets.
Our amazing eventing horses all passed the horse inspection (in the rain) at 14.00pm today (Sunday) and are showjumping tomorrow, which gets underway at 10am.
Today the showjumpers did some damp flatwork this morning, they have their Horse Inspection tomorrow at 13.00pm. The vaulting team had a practice session today in the Indoor School, they also have their Horse Inspection at 10.30am tomorrow.
GBR’S para-dressage horses had a duvet day today as their arena familiarisation was cancelled; having done training during the week they were just walked out in hand. Their Horse Inspection is at 09.00am tomorrow morning, where the eventers had theirs today.
Having competed on Friday, the dressage horses were walked in hand today before they set-off on their flight back home tomorrow. Their fabulous grooms have been packing up their kit ready for their departure this evening. The remaining endurance horses will begin their journeys back to the UK on Tuesday.
Forecast update for tomorrow: continuing to be damp although thankfully not heavy rain.
