This is the last video in this series that I am gifting to my Facebook followers on the anatomy of the equine foot.   The stratum externum or tectoriumis an extension of the perioplic epidermis and is composed of cornified eipithelial cells which appear as a soft, white, shiny material. This tissue attaches the hoof to the epidermis of the skin of the foot.
