The British Equestrian Federation World Class Programme, in collaboration with British Eventing, would like to invite applicants to serve on the GB Senior Eventing Selection Panel. The term will start ahead of the 2019 eventing season and cover the 2020 Tokyo Olympiad, including senior selection for the 2019 European Championships and Tokyo 2020.

Thanks to the hard working volunteer Senior Selection Panel, along with the World Class Programme coaches, managers and support team, the Senior British eventing squad has seen incredible success at international level, including the recent team and individual gold medal at the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games. The British Equestrian Federation and British Eventing acknowledge that the responsibility and accountability of Senior Selectors has increased greatly over the past few years and, in recognition of this, from 2019 Senior Selectors will be remunerated on a day rate basis and the Selection Panel will be reduced to three selectors rather than the current four. As a consequence of these changes appointments to the Senior Selection Panel will be made through a transparent recruitment process.

Working with the Independent Chair of Selectors, the purpose of the role of the Senior Eventing Selectors will be to select horse and athlete combinations to represent Great Britain at FEI international competitions. Selectors will be required to attend identified key selection competitions and annual training events in order to consider and select combinations. In addition, the role will involve travel and periods of time away from home to attend national and international competitions.

The full Role Description can be found HERE.

Interviews will be held at the British Eventing Head Office in early January with appointments at the end of January ahead of the 2019 season. Positions will be reviewed post the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Applicants should send their CV and covering letter by email to Georgina Sharples, via email georgina.sharples@bef.co.uk or by post to British Equestrian Federation, Abbey Park, Stareton, Kenilworth, CV8 2RN, by Friday 14th December. If you have any questions about the role please contact Georgina.

The British Equestrian Federation is an equal opportunities organisation and welcomes all applications.
