Emma Slater is an International Showjumping Rider and BS Level 3 Coach, she is a sister to Melanie Phillips Dressage Rider and daughter of David and Milly Slater who own Ruxton Stud.
Youngest of four she started out in ponyclub, joining in with everything and successfully competing at area and national level in Eventing, Showjumping and Dressage. Choosing to concentrate on Showjumping in her late teens she has represented her country in young riders and gone on to senior success both here and abroad.
Emma is passionate about her sport and having worked and trained with some of the best in Europe enjoys passing that knowledge on whether producing horses or coaching riders.
Emma’s current top horse is Harry aka Art D’Usance some career highlights with him include winning Royal Bath and West Grand Prix, 2nd Queen Elizabeth Cup 2016 & 2nd Csi 2* Scope Festival 2017. Her one to watch is Ruxton Hullabalou 8yo stallion who will be standing at stud this year.
