Let me start off by saying I do not come from the Equestrian/Equine world and really only have a rudimentary understanding of the Industry. I come from a background in the Oil & Gas sector in a Business Development role, specializing in chemical compositions for soil remediation.

Several years back, like many others, I lost my job and wasn’t sure what I was going to do next. I was introduced to a group of scientists who had created a radical, botanically derived formula.  I was very sceptical, but much to my surprise, in term of its effectiveness and environmental friendliness, the product performed on a far greater scale than I could have ever imagined. In fact, I took the product all over North America performing Adenosine Triphosphate tests (ATP) and put it up against some of the most caustic, toxic products on the market today. In the 100’s of bacterial tests I performed the product beat everything it came up against – there was not one product that was able to come in with a lower bacteria count than mine.

So, I started to venture down the road of promoting the product into retail chains throughout North America.  I couldn’t believe these places were not more on board with something so “Green” and advanced in its technology. I started to become deflated and completely dumbfounded, “How this stuff is not selling like wildfire!?” I had spent so much time, money and effort in trying to make this fly that I was about to throw in the towel. Then, as fate would have it, I was contacted by a research and development team south of Edmonton that heard about the product through another party. They asked me if they could test the product under laboratory conditions at a microscopic level – I said sure why not.

I come to find out, through these people, that there are many conditions horses suffer that are quite problematic to the animal and its owner – such as Thrush, White Line Disease and Scratches just to name a few. Apparently, these conditions are treatable but it can be a long arduous process and in some cases very expensive and painful to the animal. The hope, was that by applying the product to the problem area it would help alleviate some of these conditions without having to aggravate or tear away any part of the affected or surrounding area. However, I was warned that if the product harms any live tissue and red or white blood cells, it would be useless. So, the research team went to work testing the product under several condition, and for many applications.

Approximately a month had past before I heard any feedback. Finally when I did get results, it was nothing short of amazing based on their findings. They said in the 25+ plus years in working with horses they have never seen a product perform on such a level as this did. Not only did it help with Thrush, White Line Disease and Scratches, it became recognized as a complete solution with no adverse effect and more importantly no harm or pain to the animal. Now, in all honesty, I really didn’t know what any of that meant being this is all so new to me. However, I was assured this does not happen at the rate it did (especially with a botanical/natural mineral base) and that this product is going to take the Equine world by storm.

So, from that I started eQure  and the eQ-line of products. With just a very light launch of out first commercially available product, eScratches, through social media the response was overwhelming almost overnite. People from around the world quickly started asking about the eScratches and asking how they could get a hold of it. I was not expecting that kind of response so quickly. So, I immediately went into work mode and got all my ducks in a row for manufacturing, packaging, labeling and shipping the product worldwide. I also got product in the hands of end users to sample and asked for their feedback. So far the response has been all been positive.
