Six Year Old Championships

Great Britain’s Kitty King and Mr Alex Wakeley’s Cristal Fontaine produced a perfect clear show jumping round on the final day of the FEI World Breeding Federation Eventing Championships for Young Horses in Lion d’Angers, France, to be crowned the 2018 six year old World Champions.

Adding nothing to their dressage score of 25.4 penalties put them ahead of the overnight leader Elisabeth Halliday-Sharp and Cooley Moonshine (USA) who rolled one pole to finish in third place, as did Millie Dumas, who also collected four faults on Ellie Guy’s Universal Cooley, to drop from second after the cross country to take fourth place. Adding to the British success, Piggy French matched Kitty’s clear show jumping round today to move up from third place to take the silver medal with Tom March’s Emerald Jonny.
