Lady Anara Durand, a supporter of HorseWorld is holding a Holistic Wellbeing Fayre fundraiser with holistic therapists, psychics and craft stalls on Saturday 10 February 2018 at The Guildhall in Bath, 10.30am till 5.30pm.

There will be workshops, demonstrations and healing sessions given throughout the day. There will be a raffle and an evening concert which includes singers from Bath Opera and local musicians.

Lady Anara Durand who has organised the event is an author, professional therapist, reiki healer and teacher. She says that horses can respond very well to holistic methods of treatment and has found that using reiki and other forms of healing techniques can help a horse who has suffered trauma in the past. Here is a small mention from a few of the therapists taking part.

Robyn Harris of Equenergy said “I have been offering healing to the horses at HorseWorld for some time now. We’ve found that the horses, many of whom have had a challenging time before coming to the Centre, respond very well to this approach. It helps to increase wellbeing in horses who have been ill or injured, or who are just getting older and welcome a little extra support. It’s also a great way to build trust in nervous horses helping them to open up to reconnecting with humans. All the team at HorseWorld do an amazing job and I’m honoured to be able to work alongside them in this way.”

Jessica May of Soul of Equus Healing said ”I am so excited to be at an event that is supporting HorseWorld. This is a fantastic charity that gives horses and donkeys a second chance at receiving love and a caring home.”

In the evening, there will be a concert featuring ‘Liam ó Maonlaí’ of Hothouse Flowers who is flying over from Dublin, Ireland especially for the event as well as Peruvian Musician ‘Inka’, Flamenco Artist ‘La Flamenquita’, Bath Opera, Senegalese multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter ‘Amadou Diagne’ and more. The evening concert from 7.00pm till 9.00pm is a ticketed event, £10 in advance or £12 on the door.  To find out more and purchase tickets for the concert, please visit www.horseworld.org.uk/events
