The excitement is building ahead of tomorrow’s cross-country, which sees some major changes to the course. Riders have been praising the hard work of the ground staff in ensuring the perfect going despite the difficult conditions.

“We had a brilliant heavy shower this morning but we really appreciate the huge amount of effort that has gone into the ground,” said British Olympic eventer Pippa Funnel today. “The landings and the spiking that’s been done are absolutely excellent. I’ve come to Hartpury for many years and there has certainly been a few changes [to the course], but it looks really exciting and I can’t wait to get out there tomorrow.”
